Great dining spot in Cork, I found it in a Lonely Planet book and just had to go. We had the French Onion soup, Bacon Collar and Roast Chicken with red wine and a beer tasting paddle with olives. It was overall a great restaurant! Would highly recommend the bacon collar, DELICIOUS!!!! Service was very good and the waiter was knowledgeable, atmosphere was bustling and the restaurant was full but it did not feel overly crowded. They also source all their ingredients locally, including from the English Market that is in Cork. They showcase this in their menu as well by explaining where everything comes from, which I thought was such a lovely touch and so beautiful that they support all local suppliers and get the freshest food from all around them. Will be telling any family or friends that visit Cork to come here for a meal :)
The bacon collar main was amazing. I would definitely recommend it. The mussels starter was also great and person sizes were generous. I would definitely come back if I lived here.
The restaurant is maintained very well. The food was good too. The staffs were nice. We booked our table in advance and we got a very good service by them. The toilets are nearby area were also maintained well. You also have option to sit outside. The price was reasonable.
I was surprised by how good the food was here. We arrived without any booking and the restaurant was very busy. We managed to get a table outside. I had my heart set on the bacon collar and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, the sweet glaze on the meat was so good, everything on the plate tasted delicious. We also shared the rhubarb cheesecake and it was excellent. Even though we sat outside the waiter kept checking on us regularly. 10 out of 10 for us! Thanks for the beautiful food. We will definitely be back when visiting Cork.
Great service and food! They were very friendly and helpful, as we changed our reservation time, which was no problem! The food was very tasty and they were able to make every dish gluten free for my sister, which was awesome! We had the bohemian raspberry cocktail, absolutely delicious, soup of the day and French onion soup, both great, the seafood salad and lamb for our mains, and for dessert we each had a mini chocolate cup. The lamb needed a bit more seasoning, but everything else was very delicious! Also, all ingredients are super fresh and tasty from the English market, located a few minutes away in Cork. We had a great time and definitely recommend coming here!
